Tenrikyo Hawaii Convention took place from May 28th to the 30th in Waikiki, Hawaii. Over 350 participants from Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Hong Kong, and of course the US came to rejuvenate and strengthen their understanding of the teachings. With different courses like, Modern Day Yoboku and Reviewing the Sazuke, people were able to connect with other followers, new and old, to get a better sense of what it means to be Tenrikyo. Others took more from the personal speeches and workshops. It was a good opportunity for people from around the world to meet other English speaking Tenrikyo followers like themselves or to reunite with old friends from Oyasato Seminar, Spiritual Development, or Shuyokai. Hopefully this has excited people to go out and make a difference with Tenrikyo in their hearts and English as their tool.
